Our Mission at VitalWell: To joyfully spread the knowledge of natural and integrative approaches for veterinary health care to loving pet parents around the nation. We are dedicated to offering exceptional holistic products and comprehensive services through our Florida location, active community events, teleconsultations, and our educational blogs—empowering families to nurture lifelong wellness and vitality in their beloved companions.
VitalWell Holistic Veterinary Center provides personalized care for dogs and cats by bringing conventional veterinary medicine together with holistic, integrative, and regenerative therapies. We believe effective veterinary care begins with understanding the whole patient—not simply treating an isolated symptom. Nutrition, lifestyle, environment, physical health, emotional well-being, and medical history can all influence how a pet feels and heals. By considering these factors together, we can create a thoughtful plan tailored to each animal’s individual needs.
Our goal is to give pet parents clear guidance, meaningful choices, and access to a broader range of diagnostic and treatment options. We work in partnership with families so they can make informed decisions that reflect their goals for their pets.
Our Story
From Natural Veterinary Services to VitalWell
VitalWell grew from Natural Veterinary Services, the mobile veterinary practice that first brought Dr. Kristen Swanson’s integrative approach directly into communities throughout Florida. Natural Veterinary Services traveled to pet shops, pet boutiques, and grooming salons across the state, making specialized veterinary services more accessible to pets and their families. The practice became especially known for its non-anesthesia dental events, as well as allergy testing and select veterinary procedures arranged following a telephone consultation.
Over the years, families traveled from Tampa, Orlando, Sarasota, North Port, Miami, Naples, Melbourne, and other Florida communities to seek Dr. Swanson’s individualized approach to veterinary care. As the practice grew, so did the need for a permanent location where patients could receive more comprehensive diagnostics, treatments, dentistry, surgery, and regenerative services.
VitalWell Holistic Veterinary Center was created as that permanent home in the Lutz and Wesley Chapel area. The center allows Dr. Swanson and her team to combine the personal attention and integrative philosophy of Natural Veterinary Services with the capabilities of a full veterinary facility.
Today, VitalWell offers conventional veterinary medicine alongside advanced holistic and integrative services, including nutritional guidance, Allergy treatments, ozone therapy, bioresonance, microbiome restoration, therapeutic laser, advanced dentistry, regenerative medicine, and hormone-sparing surgical options.
Natural Veterinary Services remains an important part of our history and continues through select mobile services and non-anesthesia dental events at participating Florida locations. VitalWell carries its original mission forward while providing families with an even wider range of options for supporting their pets’ health.
Meet the Doctor
Kristen Swanson, DVM
Dr. Kristen Swanson is a holistic and integrative veterinarian who works to identify and treat the underlying causes of illness—sometimes before obvious symptoms develop. Her approach combines traditional veterinary medicine with advanced diagnostics, nutrition, holistic therapies, regenerative medicine, and individualized wellness care. Rather than applying the same plan to every patient, Dr. Swanson considers the animal’s complete health picture and develops recommendations around that pet’s specific needs.
Dr. Swanson founded VitalWell Holistic Veterinary Center to give pet parents access to thoughtful veterinary care with a broader range of diagnostic and treatment options. She believes families should understand the choices available to them and feel supported as they make informed decisions for their pets.
Her clinical interests include holistic wellness, nutrition, Allergy treatments, dentistry, ozone therapy, bioresonance, microbiome restoration, regenerative medicine, laser therapy, and hormone-sparing sterilization. She is also an APHIS-accredited veterinarian.
Dr. Swanson’s goal is not simply to manage disease. She seeks to understand why a problem developed, identify areas where the patient may need additional support, and build a practical plan that promotes long-term health, comfort, and quality of life.
