VitalWell Holistic Veterinary Center is not an emergency veterinary hospital and does not routinely provide emergency or after-hours care. If your pet is experiencing a serious or potentially life-threatening condition, please seek immediate evaluation at an emergency veterinary facility.
WHEN TO SEEK EMERGENCY CARE
Seek immediate veterinary attention if your pet is experiencing signs such as:
- Difficulty breathing or severe respiratory distress
- Collapse, loss of consciousness, or inability to stand
- Uncontrolled or significant bleeding
- Seizures, especially prolonged or repeated seizures
- Suspected poisoning or ingestion of a potentially toxic substance
- Severe trauma, including being struck by a vehicle
- Severe abdominal swelling or suspected bloat
- Persistent unproductive attempts to vomit
- Inability to urinate or repeated straining without producing urine
- Severe pain or rapidly worsening symptoms
- Heatstroke or dangerously high body temperature
- Any condition that you believe may pose an immediate threat to your pet’s life
WHERE TO GO
Find an Emergency Veterinary Hospital Near Me
For an urgent or life-threatening emergency, contact a veterinary emergency hospital that is currently open and able to evaluate your pet. When circumstances allow, call before leaving to confirm availability and allow the hospital to prepare for your pet’s arrival.
POISONING OR TOXIN EXPOSURE
If you suspect your pet has ingested or been exposed to a toxin, contact a veterinary poison control service immediately. Emergency and urgent-care facilities often use the poison control service’s case information and treatment recommendations.
ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center

- Consultation fees may apply. If a case or consultation number is provided, bring that information with you to the veterinary facility.
- When possible, have the product container, label, medication bottle, plant information, or other details about the suspected substance available when you call.
- Do not induce vomiting or administer medications or home remedies unless specifically instructed by a veterinarian or veterinary poison control professional.
CURRENT VITALWELL PATIENTS
For non-life-threatening concerns involving an established VitalWell patient, please contact us through our Contact page. Messages submitted through the website are not monitored as an emergency service and should not be used when your pet requires immediate medical attention.
FOLLOW-UP CARE
After an emergency visit, please request a copy of your pet’s examination findings, diagnostic results, treatment information, and discharge instructions. Records can be submitted to VitalWell through our Upload Records page so we can assist with appropriate follow-up and ongoing integrative care.
