Ozone Therapy + U-Vet Blood Phototherapy
Advanced therapies. Integrated into real veterinary medicine.
Ozone can be used in many different ways—from blood-based therapies and cancer support to skin, dental, gastrointestinal, and regenerative care. At VitalWell, how we use it depends on the patient, the problem we are addressing, and the larger medical plan.

One Therapy. Many Places in Medicine.
Ozone isn’t confined to one procedure or one part of the body. Different forms of ozone therapy allow us to incorporate it throughout our medicine in very different ways.

Ozone, Differently Applied
Blood + U-Vet
Ozone can be incorporated into blood-based therapies, including our U-Vet blood phototherapy process, where multiple wavelengths of light and ozone come together within one integrated treatment.
Skin + Ears
Ozonated saline and ozone bagging give us ways to work directly with irritated skin, ears, hot spots, wounds, and other localized areas. Rectal ozone may also be incorporated early for some intensely itchy patients while we investigate the underlying triggers.
GI + Microbiome
Rectal ozone gives us another route of administration and can be used to prepare the gastrointestinal environment before microbiome restoration.
Dentistry
Ozone can be delivered below the gumline following dental procedures and extractions as part of our integrative approach to oral care.
Joints + Regenerative Medicine
Ozone intersects with regenerative medicine as well, including joint-focused therapies and ozonated PRP. It can also be incorporated alongside regenerative treatments designed to support mobility, comfort, and tissue recovery.
A Bridge Between Approaches
Ozone and U-Vet don’t require us to choose between “conventional” and “alternative” medicine. They can be incorporated into a broader treatment plan alongside conventional veterinary care.
For a patient with cancer, that may include using ozone and U-Vet as part of an integrative support plan while the patient is also receiving chemotherapy, surgery, or other conventional cancer treatment.
The goal isn’t to choose a side. It’s to build the right plan for the patient.
When Ozone Meets Light
U-Vet Blood Phototherapy
U-Vet takes blood phototherapy beyond traditional ultraviolet blood irradiation. Rather than relying on only one type of light exposure, the system brings together several wavelengths of ultraviolet and visible light in a single blood-treatment platform.
Its light sources span red, green, violet and amber visible light along with UVA and UVC. This broader spectrum allows ultraviolet blood irradiation and photobiomodulation to come together within the same treatment process.
A controlled portion of the patient’s blood is treated outside the body using a specialized quartz cuvette designed for light transmission. At VitalWell, ozone is then incorporated into the treatment before the blood is returned to the patient.
More than traditional UVBI. Multiple wavelengths. One integrated treatment process.

U-Vet Treatment Pathway
PATIENT → U-VET LIGHT → OZONE → PATIENT
01 · Collect
A controlled amount of blood is collected.
02 · Light
The blood is exposed to selected wavelengths in the U-Vet system.
03 · Ozone
Ozone is incorporated into the treatment.
04 · Return
The treated blood is returned to the patient.
Sometimes We Use Ozone While We’re Still Looking for the Why.
For a patient arriving with significant itching or inflamed skin, ozone may enter the plan early while diagnostic work is underway. Rectal ozone, ozonated saline, and localized ozone applications give us additional ways to support comfort while we investigate the underlying triggers.
Preparing the Environment
Rectal ozone is incorporated before microbiome restoration, helping us prepare the gastrointestinal environment for the next stage of the treatment plan.
Part of a Larger Medical Plan
The therapy doesn’t determine the plan. The patient does.
Ozone and U-Vet are tools within a larger veterinary medical plan. Depending on the patient, that plan may also include diagnostics, conventional treatment, surgery, regenerative medicine, microbiome therapy, nutrition, and other individualized therapies.
Could Ozone or U-Vet Be Part of Your Pet’s Plan?
Ozone and U-Vet are tools—not predetermined treatments. We start with the patient and build the plan from there.
